Brush! Chamber April Update

Greetings everyone,


Below are some upcoming items the Chamber has going on.


Welcome Center Request

As a Chamber of Commerce, we are also a Welcome Center in the community. The Chamber has a display with community information including flyers, pamphlets, and contact information. In addition, we prepare welcome packets for new community members. With that said, we would like to put a request out for new and updated materials from businesses and organizations that we have not received items in a while as were are running low on a number of items. Materials can be dropped off at the Chamber office, or we can be given notice to pick items up by emailing brushchamberexecdir@gmail.com.


Brush Give Back Day

We are a few weeks out from Brush High School Give Back Day on Thursday, April 25, 2024. This means that Brush School District need to start organizing job lists to start seeing about how many students to send to each job site. The students will have gloves, some access to tools, trash bags, safety vests, etc. If you can provide materials, we can do some light landscaping, plantings, painting, staining, spread gravel, build fences, etc.


Deadline for jobsites for the form below will be April 18, 2024.


If you would like to put in a request for some work to be done on giveback day fill out the form below. Note, we will confirm with you if work is expected to move forward.




Cinco De Mayo

We will be hosting our 2nd Annual Cinco De Mayo event on May 4th, 2024 in downtown Brush! Including food, vendors, entertainment, and more. If you would like to participate as a sponsor, dog show participant or vendor see the links below.







4th of July Parade



The 4th of July is around the corner, if you are interested in participating in the 4th of July Parade be sure to check out the registration form below.

Oktoberfest



oin us for the 42nd Oktoberfest celebration in downtown Brush, Colorado! Get ready for a day filled with excitement, entertainment, and the spirit of German tradition. On October 5th, our vibrant community will come alive with a wide array of activities, making it an event you won't want to miss.

Main Street America Accreditation




The Chamber was notified on March 14th that the Chamber would remain a Nationally Accredited Main Street Program along with 700+ communities across the nation. With access to countless resources and opportunities. To see all of the communities, see the Main Street America map below.



Community Business Preservation Program




We announced last week that on March 21st we were notified that the Foundation's sponsored application for the Community Business Preservation Program through the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) was awarded $187,000 for the respective business applied projects.


Brushopoly!



Join us as we set on a journey to create an updated Brush-themed Monopoly game, Brushopoly! See the timeline & sponsorship options below for how you can participate. Proceeds will go to bolster Oktoberfest, making it even bigger and better. The deadline for sponsorships is June 12th. Note, that spots are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Grant Opportunities


In partnership with American Express, the Backing Small Businesses grant program supports economically vulnerable and under-resourced small businesses with community reach and/​or cultural significance. This year, eligible small business owners can apply for $10,000 grants for projects that grow or improve their businesses by building community, supporting their economic viability, or bolstering meaningful change.


Note, this grant takes about 1-2 hours to complete and closes on April 7th at midnight.
