Junior Main Street (Intership Program) Launch

Last month at our Annual Meeting we announced the launch of our pilot program this year. With that the Brush! Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation Junior Main Street Program aims to connect today's youth with opportunities that nurture them into the entrepreneurs and business leaders of tomorrow. Through strategic partnerships with local businesses, this program provides transitioning students with valuable work experience and supports businesses by partially reimbursing the costs of hiring them.

Program Overview

The program offers a partially paid employment reimbursement opportunity with financial support of up to $2,000 for businesses that hire transitioning students for at least 200 work hours over three months. The primary objective is to facilitate hands-on experience in job roles, fostering a bridge between academic life and the professional world.

Funding Agreement Overview

The Foundation agrees to reimburse approved businesses up to $2,000 for the costs associated with hiring an employee for a guaranteed 200 hours of work over three months. The business must comply with industry-standard wage norms and bear the upfront cost, which will be partially reimbursed upon successful completion of the internship and submission of required documentation in one payment or interim payments based on the needs of the business. NOTE: Program funding is limited, and availability will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Are you a Business Interested in Hiring?

Beyond just the funding, this program aims to connect businesses with local programs for job-shawowing opportunities. So, even if you are just looking for some new workforce, be sure to connect with us to be included in our network of community partners as a job shadowing opportunity.
