From your somewhat still new Executive Director at the Brush! Area Chamber of Commerce, MaKyle Mares. I wanted to send everyone a quick end-of-year update to recap some ongoing items and bring in the new year hitting the ground running. Updates are below.

Ag Appreciation Dinner Date Change - January 27th, 2024

That is right, if you haven't heard already, this year's Ag Appreciation Dinner has been moved to the end of January. If you would like to partake in the event, be sure to check out our events page for a Sponsor/Booth Form or by checking the link below.


Agriculturalist of the Year Award

In addition to the date change, we are introducing a new award for this year's Ag Appreciation. To commemorate an individual, family, business, or organization in the Ag Community we present to you the Agriculturist of the Year Award. To recap the season we would like to give a big thanks to all of those who came out to participate in the Christmas Tree Lighting, the City and their staff for helping set up the downtown, and all of the businesses that participated. We had a blast doing S'mores and all the other festivities in our downtown that businesses hosted. In addition to the Window Decorating Contest which Ingmire Phillips Insurance won this year! Brush Chamber Board Elections

Chamber Board Members be sure to check your email for this year's Chamber Board Election Form. Voting ends on the 29th of December, so be sure to vote, vote, vote!


Community Business Preservation Program through OEDIT

Last month the Foundation/Executive Board voted to sponsor an application for the Community Business Preservation Program through OEDIT. The Foundation accepted applications up until December 7th, an extended deadline, and is currently reviewing applications to decide on the cohort of businesses to move forward with on the application. More information in the coming weeks.
