Brush! Chamber November Update

Greetings everyone,


Below are some upcoming items the Chamber has going on.


Christmas Tree Lighting



Join us for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Downtown Brush on Clayton Street! Festivities kick off at 4:00 PM on December 6th, with an evening filled with holiday cheer, family-friendly activities, and treats for all ages.





Enjoy a variety of activities, including:

  • Warm beverages, cookies, and s’mores by the fire pits

  • Fun Christmas-themed activities hosted by local businesses

  • Caroling and live music to get everyone in the holiday spirit

  • A Business Décor Contest with community voting for the best decorations

  • The highly anticipated Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:00 PM

  • A special appearance by Santa Claus, sponsored by the Bank of Colorado

  • A free movie of "Elf" at the Sands Theatre presented by Vero Broadband.

  • Regi the Reindeer at Headley Tax Service "presented by East Morgan County Library.


Also, this year, there will be a bulb sponsorship. If businesses are interested in having a sponsored bulb on the Christmas Tree throughout December, fill out a form and submit it to our office. Additionally, the deadline for bulbs for the Christmas Tree Lighting itself will be November 22nd.





Note, if you would like to participate in the event and do not have a business downtown, get with our office and we can work with placing you for the event.





Shop Small


Be sure to Shop Small this holiday season. If there are any business specials that you know of be sure to let us know to be included in our next Newsletter and to shout out during the end of November and December.





Ag Appreciation Dinner 2025



Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Brush! Area Chamber of Commerce's "Ag Appreciation" event on January 31st, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Mark Arndt Event Center. Celebrate the vital contributions of our local agricultural community with an engaging program featuring keynote speakers, industry insights, and recognition of outstanding achievements. Connect with fellow community members, farmers, and business leaders while enjoying a delightful dinner showcasing the region's agricultural bounty.


This event is a unique opportunity to express gratitude for the hardworking individuals who drive our agricultural sector forward, fostering community spirit and appreciation for the backbone of our local economy. Don't miss out on this enriching experience highlighting the importance of agriculture in our community.



Also, be sure to put in nominations for the Agriculturalist of the Year. The Agriculturist of the Year Award, presented by the Brush! Area Chamber of Commerce is a prestigious honor designed to recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions to the agricultural industry and the local community within Morgan County. This accolade is bestowed upon an individual, family, business, or organization that stands as a true pillar, exemplifying excellence in agriculture and a commitment to community development.


Criteria for Selection:

  • Passion for Agriculture, Community Engagement, Leadership and Mentorship, Positive Impact, Adaptability and Resilience.


Board of Directors Election

Annual Board elections are abuzz here at the Brush Chamber. Each year, the Chamber Membership elects four new Directors to serve on the Brush Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Directors at the Brush Chamber serve a three-year term and are expected to dedicate up to 10 hours per month between meetings and event volunteering. Chamber Luncheon December 11th

Join us for the Brush Chamber Luncheon, a premier quarterly event hosted by the Brush! Area Chamber of Commerce. These luncheons offer a unique blend of delicious meals, valuable information, and excellent networking opportunities, designed to foster connections and growth within our business community.





Welcome Center Request

As a Chamber of Commerce, we are also a Welcome Center in the community. The Chamber has a display with community information including flyers, pamphlets, and contact information. In addition, we prepare welcome packets for new community members. With that said, we would like to request new and updated materials from businesses and organizations that are part of the chamber that we have not received items in a while as we are running low on several items. Materials can be dropped off at the Chamber office, or we can be given notice to pick items up by emailing brushchamberexecdir@gmail.com.

NOTE from SBDC: This is just a reminder that if you are an LLC or Corporation, and if you have not filed the Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOI Report) and you are an LLC or Corporation you only have until December 31 to file.  You can get all the latest information on the BOI Report at https://www.fincen.gov/.
